เมื่อวันที่ 22 มกราคม 2556 เวลา 15.00 น. นายธัชชยุติ ภักดี เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงพนมเปญ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายมึน คึน (MIN Khin) รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงธรรมการและศาสนากัมพูชา เพื่อแนะนำตัวอย่างเป็นทางการในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่เอกอัครราชทูตไทยประจำราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา และหารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางศาสนาระหว่างไทยกับกัมพูชา

 

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นที่จะปฏิบัติหน้าที่อย่างเต็มความสามารถในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีอยู่แล้วให้เจริญก้าวหน้ายิ่งขึ้นไป ผ่านการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ในระดับต่างๆ และการส่งเสริมความเข้าใจในระดับประชาชน

 

ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางศาสนาโดยเฉพาะกิจกรรมด้านพระพุทธศาสนาซึ่งเป็นจุดร่วมที่สำคัญของทั้งสองประเทศ อาทิ การอัญเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานและเชิญผ้าพระกฐินไปทอดในไทยและกัมพูชา การจัดพิมพ์และเผยแพร่พระไตรปิฎกและหนังสือธรรมะ การสนับสนุนอุปกรณ์การเรียนการสอนของมหาวิทยาลัยสงฆ์ และการมอบทุนการศึกษาแก่คณาจารย์ของมหาวิทยาลัยสงฆ์และบุคลากรของกระทรวงธรรมการและศาสนา เป็นต้น

On 22 January 2013 at 15.00 hrs., H.E. Mr. Touchayoot PAKDI, Ambassdaor of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Cambodia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. MIN Khin, Minister of Cult and Religion of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to make an official introduction upon his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

 

During the meeting, the Thai Ambassador pledged to work closely with the Ministry of Cult and Religion of the Kingdom of Cambodia to foster and strengthen the good relations between Thailand and Cambodia and promote understanding between peoples of the two countries.

 

A few of the ways and means to promote bilateral cooperation in the area of religion and culture based on the common belief of Buddhism are cooperation to support religious study such as the continuation of the presentation of the Tripitaka Books to Buddhist temples which began in 2012, support on the publication of other study material, support for the operation of various Buddhist universities, as well as a capacity building program such as a possibility of scholarships for teachers in Buddhist universities and ministry personnel.
